I am going to be a link-up whore today just throwing that out there...
I have a few races under my belt now.
You would think that I would have mastered the art of looking like a damn Victoria Secret Model while I graciously cross the finish-line.
No...
Instead I look like I am dying a severe death of Rheumatoid arthritis.
Heart Mini 5k
Obviously this is a before pic...
I still look happy!
Flying Pig 10k
Hell I even run for beer...
Literally
Cincinnati Beer Run 2.1 miles
Cincinnati Beer Run 2.1 miles
No race was better than the 10k on Thanksgiving 2010 that I didn't prepare for and could have sworn to you was a half for the longest time...
Thanksgiving Day 10k
Thanksgiving Day 10k
{This picture is what I was talking about when I look like I have been taken over by Rheumatoid arthritis}
I was overweight.
I did not prepare.
I think it took me over two hours to finish this race.
It was painful.
I cried.
I vowed to NEVER do anything like that again.
Now I laugh at it though because I just looked so dam funny!
As I am preparing for my half in September I a. am still freaked out b. vow to never feel like I did in the pictures directly above.
Also linking-up today for Weigh-In Wednesday!
I don't know if I have ever been so excited for a weigh-in before.
My head is clearer and I feel better than I have in months.
I can say that and mean it with a smile on my face today!
Last week I weighed in at 182 and I felt like shit.
No way around it.
I had been on prednisone for two weeks and was just not taking care of my body at all.
This past week I have done a lot of soul searching within myself.
I have dug way down deep.
I managed to put my big girl panties on and do what I needed to do.
Yesterday I weighed in just for shits and giggles and was 174.0.
Today I weighed the same and I feel good about that.
8 pounds in a week is a huge success in my eyes.
Sure a lot of it may be water weight but regardless it's 8 pounds I don't have residing on my backside any longer.
I feel thinner, too.
And y'all know I love me a good comparison picture if you haven't seen it already!
And because I am just feeling so damn proud of myself I completed three miles straight yesterday without having to stop!
BOOM!
Make it a great Hump Day ladies!
On the agenda today is Arms, Abs, and Ass!!!
That's awesome for running 3 miles without stopping! I have to stop still sometimes. I love a good run when you don't have to!
