Daddy's Girl...

It's Friday need I say more?
This week has been a doozy to say the least so this post is going to be short and sweet.
We had to take our sweet girl Payton to Children's this morning to get a chest X-ray, blood work, and a urine sample via catheter.
I think this is much harder on the parents than it is on the child.
Pretty sure we were both crying.
Honestly I was most worried about the catheter but that was easy peasy compared to the blood work.
...and of course Daddy was getting whoozy so I had to be the bad guy and hold her down.
Moms always get the short end of the stick don't they?!
It didn't help that she was Daddy's girl this morning and didn't want a damn thing to do with me.
I know it's ridiculous but it really did hurt my heart a little.
Moving along...

In case you missed it yesterday on IG yesterday I fit into a girls size 14/16 pair of yoga pants.
My step-daughter Lauren shares my love for a good pair of yoga pants.
Apparently I need to start checking the tags before I put laundry away.
These bad boys ended up in my drawer instead.
Regardless I consider this a non-scale victory!!!
She looked at me like I had five heads when I told her and then said, "See I told you, you didn't need to lose anymore weight!"
She cracks me up.
Love that kid.

Tonight we are having a slumber party for her birthday.
Meaning I will have kids ranging from 10 months to 11 years old at my house.
All girls.
Let my OCD commence!!!
On tonight's agenda we have pizza, cake/ice cream, games, and s'mores around the fire!
Hopefully lots of laughs and no fights!!!

Meanwhile I am having a good hair day.
Right now those are few and far between.
After about the second day of this hair cut I hated it.
He thinned it out too much and I have more fly aways than I have EVER had in my life.
I tried the beachy wavy curl thingy.
I like it better than anything I have tried to do to it thus far.
In the meantime I am taking Biotin like it's my job.

I burned over 500 calories on my lunch break yesterday.
Set your standards high because ANYTHING is possible!

If you are in the Northern Kentucky area I will be at Serena's Zumba tomorrow 9:00AM sharp @ Turning Point Dance Studio!
Be there or be stuck with a lower calorie burn than I!
PS this picture is from the beginning of May until now.
Notice a difference?!

Still rocking the kangaroo pouch but I am getting there!
Pictures on the Right are from May 1st!
Pictures on the left were from a couple of days ago =)
PSS sorry for the dirty looking mirror.
This is my crazy ass walk-in closet/laundry room.

Be well my friends and remember DON'T do anything I wouldn't do!

  1. Okay, so glad you linked up.... seriously, I've found some really great (and hilarious) blogs this morning! I should have expected this as Holly is insanely funny and just knows good peeps! ;)

I hope that all is okay with your sweet girl after a trip to the hospital for tests! And isn't it a killer when they want their dad over you? My little guy does this and it simultaneously breaks my heart and pisses me off (I stay at home with him, so I feel like he should love me more ---- BAHAHAHA!!!).

And you look great.... seriously, huge change since MAY! Way to go!! Love that you fit into your step daughter's yoga pants!! I actually might need to try girl's yoga pants since I'm so damn short --- might save me a trip to have them altered anyway!

Thanks again for linking up! Loved reading your FIVE.... and now to catch up on your blog a little! :)

  2. Sounds like we've both had a rough week! Happy Weekend!

  3. So sorry for your baby. You are right, nothing is worse than seeing your children in pain.

Have fun at your slumber party... Mother of the year goes to you!!

  4. So sorry about your baby. My youngest had that done when she was two. I can still hearing that blood curdling scream (I had to leave the room, I was about to pass out.) :(

    p.s. she's fine with 2 sons now. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  5. Damn girl - you look awesome - that is a huge difference in a short amount of time. And can I tell you that I had your 400-500 calorie burn in my head this week and am super impressed because that chiz is hard.

And poor baby girl . . . hope she is ok. Send up some positive vibes . . .

    Have an awesome weekend!!
